9mm Para. 3.9" barrel. SN: 3027v. Blued metal finish with straw colored small parts mounting checkered walnut grips with standard fixed rear notch and front blade sights. Short recoil operated toggle locking autoloading pistol fed by detachable magazines. Upper slide is dated 1940 with toggle link showing MAUSER banner. Left slide and barrel struck with {Crown/U} stamp. Right struck with two {Eagle/655} waffenamt markings, correct for an originally commercial Luger for Holland inspected for German service. Left frame shows correct RUST {Arrow} safety marking. Serial numbers match throughout with non numbered grips. Both magazines are blued with alloy spring plugs and serial numbers matching the frame with the addition of + to spare. Comes with a leather holster by A. FISCHER/GUTTSTADT dated 1939 with an {Eagle/WaA323} waffenamt marking. Non numbered Luger tool retained in holster. Both sides of the frame, both magazines, and the holster flap have been marked with the number L526-738-234-045. One magazine additionally engraved Sanger in cursive with the other marked Dich Sanger. Scratched address to interior flap of holster. The stock mounting lug has been ground off.

Originally manufactured under contract for the Dutch in a unique V serial number range, it is estimated that up to 600 of these pistols were produced and seized by the German government after the commencement of the invasion of Holland. A rare contract Luger with matching magazines. {C&R}

Good to Very Good. Bore is dirty with some residues that should clean to Bright with strong rifling throughout. Metal finish shows some brown streaking and flecking on the gripstraps. Patched abrasions and losses to forward barrel and frame, and edgewear overall. Scattered scratches. Item shows further brown flecking to all parts with brown streaks and scratches on magazines. Retains some straw color to small parts but fading to gray on handling surfaces. Grips with some light dents and scratches. Holster shows some cracking and crazing, some flaking on tie down, and stains. Action functions when cycled by hand.
