Short-recoil operated semi-automatic rifle fed by detachable magazines built using a Portuguese MG13 parts kit. Right receiver struck with the {Great Seal of Portugal}/1938 along with rebuilder marking reading MIDWEST METAL CREATIONS/LISBON IA MG-13S 8MM. Original markings on left receiver have been buffed down, leaving only the number 66. Serial numbers of original parts are mixed with major components showing {Reichsadler}/4 view marks and {Eagle/WaA4} waffenamt markings indicating likely Gustloff Werke or Berlin-Suhler manufacture. Magazine shows BSW code for Berlin-Suhler Waffen-und Fahrzeugwerke along with two {Eagle/4} marks and date of 1938. In addition to the bipod, the rifle also retains the pintle for tripod mounting. {FFL}

Good. Bore is dirty with some grease and brown flecking and strong rifling. Metal finish shows some scattered brown patina on the edges of the metal parts, flaking finish on bipod, scattered light scratches and some abrasions. Pistol grip shows handling wear and dents. Leather wrap on butt with some cracking, crazing, and threads breaking at seams. Action functions when cycled by hand.
