Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines mounting lanyard loop to butt, fixed front and drift adjustable rear sights, and lanyard loop to magazine. Left frame struck with Tula {Star} and a production year of 1934. Matching marks on upper slide with serial numbers matching on frame, slide, barrel, and fire control group. Scattered arsenal stamps to right frame with a shallow mark on right triggerguard. Item retains some nickel on upper slide around sights, on gripstraps, and to interior slide and frame. A dipped blued finish overlaps losses. Factory nickel plated Tokarev pistols are scarcely encountered, with the markings of this example suggesting it was later folded into the arsenal system and refinished at some point. Lacks importer markings or frame safety, suggesting it may be a bringback pistol. {C&R}

Good as Arsenal Refinished. Bore is dirty with firing residues that may clean to Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish thinning overall with the nickel flaking and weak. Some streaks on frame from refinish overlapping old finish. Scattered scratches and some weakness to markings on most aggressively cleaned areas of the frame. Grips with some nicks and scratches. Action functions when cycled by hand.
