Blued arsenal refinish in lacquered Birchwood straight wrist stock with full length handguard, turned down bolt handle, and C in a circle Sniper grade marking weakly struck to right barrel shank. Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips or loose cartridges. Item mounts factory standard tangent rear notch and post and globe front sights. Receiver shows the {Arrow in Triangle} stamp of Izhevsk arsenal with a date of 1942. Stock is in the wartime simplified pattern with no liner in butt and half liner to forend, and mounts the simplified stamped barrel bands and springs. Left barrel shank is struck with the scope marking 31532, matching the mounted PU pattern scope with 1942 production date. The scope mount itself appears to be a modern replacement, with the mount numbered 2070, matching the rifle serial number, with these numbers further engraved into the right side of the receiver. Item shows Soviet refurbishment stamps on the barrel shank and tang. Serial numbers on the magazine floorplate and bolt appear to be force matched. Importer mark on lower barrel for SSME PLANT CTY FL. Comes with cleaning rod and canvas post-war Soviet sling. {C&R}

Good as Arsenal Refurbished. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout and some patched patina. Metal refinish shows some flaking at the muzzle, scattered abrasions and scratches, and some gray flecking on bolt handle. Stock with flaking to finish overall, scratches, and handling dents. Scope is dirty but functional, and canted to the left. Action functional.
