(mfg. ca. 1944) Blued metal finish with straw colored small parts, alloy magazine spring plug, and horizontally serrated wood grip panels mounting dovetailed front blade and fixed rear notch sights. Short-recoil operated striker action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Right frame shows 19.4 production date indicating it was made in April, 1944. {Nagoya Arsenal} stamp with second series mark indicate it was made by Toriimatsu under Nagoya supervision. Standard type and safety marks to left frame. Item features the enlarged triggerguard, flatspring magazine retainer, and round knurled cocking knob typical of late production Type 14 pistols. Serial numbers match on most parts, including grip panels, but firing pin appears to be a custom made modern replacement. Magazine does not match and is numbered 646. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Frosty with patina throughout and strong rifling. Metal finish retains some thin blue near seams with a mottled brown dominating. Some scattered light flecking to lower barrel and muzzle. Grips show some light dents and abrasions. Panels show some wiggle. Action functions when cycled by hand.
