Short-recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Item features a Remington Rand made frame with FJA inspection mark of Lieutenant Colonel Frank J. Atwood, Ordnance {Crossed Cannons}, and UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911 A1 U.S ARMY mark to left frame. Colt slide shows the two-line patent mark and COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. on left side separated by {Rampant Colt} logo. Upper slide with P proof perpendicular to the axis of the bore. Replaced barrel with HS stamp on lug showing it to be High-Standard built. Post-war magazine is blued and marked COLT/45 AUTO. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish displays some internal cycling wear with finish thinning to mottled gray to brown on gripstraps and mainspring housing. Scattered brown spots with some rough areas on slide flanks. Grips have some skips to right panel but remain sharp otherwise. Action functions when cycled by hand.
