Factory cutaway example of a bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Receiver shows an Erma-Erfurt maker marking above a date of 1938 separated by a cut through the forward receiver to expose the locking lugs. Toe of the stock, bolt handle, bolt release lever, and left barrel struck with U mark typically encountered on cutaway training rifles. Barrel serial number is 4683d beside an overstamped {Eagle} with new 458 serial on the bottom of the barrel. Left receiver struck with standard Mod. 98 model marking. Item shows a {Droop Wing Eagle/63} to the bolt release, and {Eagle/77} on left receiver and {Eagle/28} on follower. The follower serial number does not match. Lacks cleaning rod. Item has a cutaway chamber, left receiver, left forend, left muzzle, left bolt, and upper receiver. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows brown flecking on the barrel bands, rear sight base, rear barrel, and on the edges of the receiver. Some further brown patina on bolt handle, stock disc, and edges of the butt plate. Scattered light scratches and abrasions. Stock displays some handling dents and scratches. Action functions when cycled by hand.
