Short-recoil operated DA/SA autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left slide shows P.38 model mark, byf/43 maker mark indicating it was made by Mauser in 1943, with standard safety markings. WWII German Swastika view marks on right slide, left barrel, and left locking lug. {Eagle/135} waffenamts on left frame and in two places on right slide. Right barrel lug and left barrel show the {Eagle/359} mark. Serial numbers mixed though frame and slide match. Magazine is blued and marked P38 V/U above floorplate. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Dark with patina throughout and some light pitting. Metal finish thinning with brown patina on gripstraps, triggerguard, and in flecking overall. Left slide with two oxidized spots. Further flecked oxidation on slide stop. Some light pitting on barrel lug, barrel, and slide. Grips have some handling wear and scratches. Action functions when cycled by hand.
