Short recoil operated rotating barrel autoloading pistol fed by an internal magazine charged with stripper clips. Left slide struck with the Coat of Arms of Chile followed by maker mark and date STEYR 1912, MOD.1911, and an S stamp. Right slide is struck EJERCITO DE CHILE. Proof marks include {Shield} on left slide and frame, {Star} on right slide and frame, {Crossed Hammers} to left hammer and extractor spring. {Orb} stamps on safety and cross pin. A lightly struck INTERARMS import mark is on the left frame concealed by the slide. Serial numbers match. {C&R}

Good. Bore is dirty with some light residues that may clean to Bright or better with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows edgwear on frame and slide with the rear gripstrap showing brown flecking and the forward gripstrap retaining little blue and showing a mottled brown primarily. Brown flecking scattered overall with further streaks and light scratches on slide. Grips show handling wear with the checkering worn flat around grip screw, handling dents, and scratches overall. Action functions when cycled by hand.
