Wrist shows the serial number mark below the {Ordnance Bomb/US} marking for rifles acquired by the United States. Right butt dated 75/1911 with II* model mark and a weakened QUEBEC manufacture mark. Further marks include 9/12 and 44/217 unit marking. Initials CE to the right of the date mark. Mounts an American 1907 pattern sling. The United States purchased 20,000 Ross Mark II Rifles for training purposes and guard duties, with the deal inked in November, 1917. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Frosty with brown patina and oxidation throughout that may clean to Bright with strong rifling. Metal finish primarily brown patina with some traces of blue along the edges of the furniture and seams. Stock shows handling wear, dents, and scuffs overall. Action is mechanically functional.
