Browned barrel, brass furniture, full-length hardwood stock with Roman nose profile, with a 1.35" wide crescent butt and a raised cheek rest. Single shot percussion full stock rifle with fixed notch rear sight, dovetailed blade front sight, numerous inlaid German silver decorations in the wood, a four-piece brass patchbox with the release in the butt, a saddle bar and an old wooden ramrod secured by two thimbles and an entry pipe. Commercial percussion lock is unmarked and somewhat ill-fitting. Barrel unmarked as well. An attractive full stock percussion rifle likely from the second quarter of the 19th century. [ANTIQUE}

Good. Bore rusted and dark with no visible rifling. Metal with some old thinning and fading brown mixed with moderately oxidized brown patina, some scattered surface roughness and some areas of pitting. Lock is mechanically functional. Wood with moderate wear, showing numerous repaired cracks along the forend, the wood of the apron replaced around the tang, and some wood replaced along the upper edge of the forend. Otherwise the wood shows numerous bumps, dings, mars, marks, scratches and scuffs.
