.35 caliber. 35.5" pinned octagonal barrel with partial lug. NSN. Oxidized metal, brass furniture, faux striped hardwood half stock with raised cheek rest and pewter nose cap. Single shot percussion half-stock rifle with double set triggers, commercial patch box, semi-buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight and dovetailed blade front sight. Back action percussion lock with partially legible mark that reads "????HIOR/WARRANTED". Barrel marked "T WILSON" with some additional numbers and letters. This could be Thomas Wilson who worked in Kentucky during the 1850s, in Harrodsburg circa 1850-1857 and then Lexington circa 1857-1860. {ANTIQUE}.

Fair to Good. Bore rusted with good rifling. Metal moderately oxidized with scattered roughness and some pitting. Markings partly legible. Lock needs mechanical attention and has a very weak mainspring. Wood well worn with scattered bumps, dings and mars. Missing a pin in the stock allowing it to move from the barrel, wood with some old residue on the obverse butt, ramrod thimbles reattached to the barrel lug and possibly replaced, no ramrod present.
