A CDV of President Abraham Lincoln's famous "penny pose." Lincoln posed for this photograph on 9 February 1864 in Mathew Brady's studio, although the image was taken by Anthony Berger. Taken just days before his 55th birthday, this photo session resulted in not only the penny pose but also portraits of Lincoln that would go on the $5 bill and several postage stamps.
