.55 caliber. 37" tapered octagonal barrel, secured by flat sheet brass bands. NSN. Heavily oxidized metal, brass mountings, bone decorations, Maylasian hardwood stock. Single shot muzzleloading matchlock musket of the form typical of the Malay Archipelago, based upon 17th century Portuguese matchlocks, made without sights and being very crude copies. Incomplete and non-functional. Probably 19th century. {ANTIQUE}

Fair. Bore rusted. Metal heavily oxidized with surface rust and roughness as well as pitting. Not functional, lock missing essentially all external and internal components. Wood well worn with some minor damage, nicks, dings, chips and wear.
