A visually appealing patriotic songbook issued at the beginning of the Civil War. The cover features a 34-star flag with a Liberty Cap perched upon the finial. The front wrapper bears two faint period pencil ownership inscriptions, "J.C. Bissett" and "S.B Helm," possibly patriotic soldiers carrying this songster to the field of battle.
