M1860 cavalry sword. Chicopee, [Massachusetts]: Ames Manufacturing Co., 1865. Ricasso stamped with Ames scroll and "Made by / Ames Mfg Co / Chicopee". Ricasso reverse stamped with Inspector marks: "US / L.H.H. / 1865". Pommel cap marked "ADK". Blade 34 1/2 in. Overall 43 3/4 in.
Ames m1860 cavalry sword complete with scabbard. The blade has a light gray tone throughout. Guard has a nice aged patina throughout. Scabbard in good condition.
