M1860 Cavalry Sword complete in scabbard by the firm DJ Millard of Clayville, NY. The guard has a nice mellow patina and the blade is clean. The US Government contracted 10,000 cavalry swords from this firm, representing one of the smallest contracts. Along with the early war date of 1862, this makes one of the more desirable makers.
