Quarter plate half-length studio portrait tintype. N.p., circa 1861-1865. Full leatherette case.
Fine portrait of Confederate soldiers in a more relaxed moment. The soldier on the left is pictured with both a revolver and an ivory-handled fighting knife, whereas his friend is unarmed. They wear matching light-colored shirts with wide collars and large pockets. Together, they make for quite a transfixing portrait of the common Rebel soldier.
