A dramatic late-war Hungarian anti-Nazi poster depicting Hitler as a terrified, emaciated mongrel dog. Hunkered over the Brandenburg Gate (unequivocally identified as "Berlin"), the evidence of his crimes bloodies his teeth and paws; he is struck from both the West and the East by bayonetted rifles labeled with the flags of the encircling Allied Forces. 

Sándor Ék (Шандор Эк), born Alex Keil in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, was a prolific graphic artist and committed Communist. After his early career in Hungary, Vienna, and the Soviet Union, he joined the Red Army in World War II. After the Soviets invaded Hungary in 1944, Ék returned to his war-torn homeland. He photographed exhumations of the mass graves and designed anti-Nazi propaganda posters, such as this fine example.
