Left receiver shows G43 model marking and ac 44 code indicating it was made by Walther in 1944. Serial numbers of the rifle are mixed. Item shows {Eagle/359} waffenamt marks on receiver, bolt, bolt carrier, firing pin housing, WaAA44 waffenamt on top of the bolt housing. Stock serial number does not match receiver. Right side of scope base struck 0. Scope mount shows an {Eagle/214} waffenamt marking and 4041 serial number with no extant manufacturer code, suggesting possible manufacture by Berlin Lubecker Maschinenfabrik. Scope is struck with GW ZF 4 model mark followed by 35751 serial number and ddx. manufacturer code for Voigtlaender und Sohn A.G. Scope comes with wood plug lens protector and sunshade. Rifle comes with a blued acw code K43 marked magazine, and a period leather sling. A postwar Soviet buttstock cleaning kit tube for an SKS is in the compartment. {C&R}

Good. Bore is Frosty with some residues that may clean to Bright or better with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish retains a thin blue on the receiver fading to brown patina on forward barrel and on bolt carrier. Bolt shows a gray patina forming. Scattered edgewear, light scratches, and abrasions. The left edge of the thread protector on the muzzle has sheared off. Scope is dirty. Some handling wear, scuffs, and patina on the scope mount, scope, and magazine. Stock exhibits handling wear, dents, and staining overall. Sling is cracked and abraded with patina on all metal parts. Action functions when cycled by hand.
