Receiver shows the correct offset U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3 marking and offset serial number, correct for rifles completed as 03-A4s. Forward barrel shows the correct cut for front sight with none mounted, and shows a barrel date mark reading RA/{Ordnance Bomb}/6-43. Rifle exhibits punch dot reproofs to the Ordnance Bomb on the barrel and below serial number on right receiver. Two circle P marks struck into the stock. Left wrist struck with the Ordnance {Crossed Cannons} and the boxed SA/GAW cartouche for George A. Woody, an inspector at Springfield Arsenal. Rifle features two-groove rifling with stamped stock fittings. One piece scope base stamped REDFIELD on the right side. Mounted scope retains its plate reading TELESCOPE M84/SERIAL NO. 38026. Very Good as Arsenal Refurbished. Bore is Bright with strong rifling throughout. Metal finish shows a brown patina on the buttplate and triggerguard with scattered abrasions and internal cycling wear. Stock has some handling dents and handling marks. Mechanically functional action.
