FRAGMENT FROM THE LEGENDARY P-38 “GLACIER GIRL”
An original fragment removed from the right wheel-well nacelle outer skin inboard of the legendary Lockheed P-38 Lightning Glacier Girl, one of the most celebrated recovered aircraft of the Second World War. The piece is identified and signed by Robert Cardinalli, project manager for the recovery, and is attractively matted and framed with a Certificate of Authenticity and a photograph pinpointing its exact location on the aircraft.
Wheel well: 12 in. x 12 1/2 in., photo: 12 in. x 8 in., both matted and framed to 18 1/8 in. x 38 7/8 in.
Inscription on wheel well reads: "Right wheel well nacell outer / skin inboard. / removed from 'Glacier Girl' / P-38F 41-7630 2/8/93 / Robert L Cardinalli / Project Manager."
