Blued metal finish with bright bolt  and straw colored small parts in Asian hardwood semi-pistol grip stock with factory spliced toe and standard adjustable ladder rear notch and front blade sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating carbine charged with stripper clips and mounting a folding spike bayonet. Receiver retains a crisp Imperial Chrysanthemum and type markings, along with a Koshikawa arsenal stamp to left receiver. Stock with the original first pattern of two-port cleaning rod compartment in trapdoor. Item is missing the latch and spring for the bayonet. Serial numbers mixed. Lacks dustcover and cleaning rod. {C&R}

Fair to Good. Bore is dirty with residues and dusts that may clean to Bright with strong Metford pattern rifling. Metal finish with brown mottling to bolt body, magazine, and triggerplate. Brown patina dominates on the buttplate. Flecking overall with some scratches and streaks. Stock has some handling dents and scratches. Carbine is missing the bayonet latch and spring.
