Left frame model and maker mark reads WEBLEY/MARK VI/PATENTS/1918 with left topstrap showing MARK "VI" model marking. Item shows military proof marks and {Broad Arrow} stamps to barrel, frame, and each chamber. Backstrap with further N{Arrow}Z above 9/69/834 unit and inventory marking. Post-service civilian Birmingham proofs to barrel, frame, and each chamber. Left frame is marked ENGLAND by exporter. Rear cylinder has been cut down to convert the revolver to .45 ACP. {C&R} 

WARNING: The Webley Mark VI was originally designed to use .455 Webley, which produces significantly lower chamber pressures than many .45 ACP loads. The revolver cannot safely fire high powered ammunition, and it should not be fired without appropriately loaded ammunition.

Good. Bore is Bright with some wear to rifling throughout. Metal finish fading to brown patina on gripstraps with brown streaks and flecking scattered overall. Some edgewear to all metal parts. Grips show handling wear, dents, scratches, and some skips. Action exhibits good timing.
