Right frame shows standard DISASSEMB and arrow marking, typical of Tariq production. Item features fixed front blade and dovetailed rear notch sights, crossbolt safety, and a lanyard loop to butt. No import markings. Magazine is unmarked with matte follower, and mounting serrated grip extension to floorplate. Iraq purchased both a license to manufacture copies of the Beretta 1951 along with machinery, with full scale production commencing in 1981. Pistols of this pattern have proliferated throughout the Middle East, but remain a rarity in the United States. Production quality of known examples varies wildly, with some examples showing poor fit and finish, and still others displaying a similar degree of finish to original Beretta production. Good. Bore is dirty with some residues that may clean to Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows edgewear overall, scattered scratches, and a brown patina dominating on the triggerguard and forward gripstrap. Further brown patina on handling surfaces and hammer. Grips show some handling dents and scratches. Action functions when cycled by hand.
