Henry Lyman Bingham was active in San Antonio from roughly 1874-1881. Born in Delaware County, Ohio, he served with the Union Army during the Civil War prior to receiving a medical discharge. He worked as a professional photographer in Michigan then relocated to Texas around 1873-74. A York Rite Mason, Bingham was a charter member of the Anchor Lodge No. 424 in San Antonio. Bingham relocated again, possibly for health reasons, first to Mexico then to El Paso, where he died.
