Right receiver shows the Leitner Wise seal. Rifle mounts a Trijicon REFLEX II scope and nylon sling. Lacks the proprietary magazine.

The .499 cartridge was developed by Leitner-Wise as a light anti-materiel weapon for the United States Coast Guard. The project failed to achieve acceptance or adoption, and the caliber has since been sidelined in favor of cartridges capable of fitting in STANAG size magazines and standard lowers, such as .458 SOCOM. A rare predecessor of current high-caliber AR pattern rifles developed in the hopes of securing a USCG contract. {FFL}
