Russian firing proofs and Izhevsk arsenal mark to left receiver and trunnion indicating production in 2008. SAIGA model mark above caliber marking. Rifle features standard 100 series scope rail to left receiver, trapdoor butt, front and rear sling loops, cleaning rod, and bayonet lug. This item was originally imported by Arsenal as a Saiga rifle, then converted into this pattern replicating the AK-103 with a fixed butt. Furniture is American made with prominent US marks molded into it. Barrel is Russian made, chrome lined, and cold hammer forged. These are considered the closest to true Russian AK-100 series rifles in terms of quality, and are desirable to both the collector and shooter. Lacks magazine and cleaning kit. Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Some oil and grease residues to seams, and slight edgewear to optics rail. Abrasions on barrel from handguard retainer removal with some further flakes to enamel on barrel. Scattered light scratches. Some handling marks on furniture, particularly the butt.
