Obverse features a ferrotype portrait of a beardless Lincoln with the perimeter legend: "Abraham Lincoln / 1860." Suspended from a spread-winged eagle with superimposed Federal shield. Reverse with ferrotype portrait of Lincoln's running mate Hannibal Hamlin with perimeter legend: "Hannibal Hamlin / 1860".
