Single action five-shot percussion revolver with octagonal barrel and loading lever. Item features {Stagecoach Hold-up} scene to cylinder along with COLTS PATENT followed by serial number. Single line address to barrel reads ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Left frame marked COLTS/PATENT with caliber mark on left triggerguard reading 31 CAL. Serial numbers match on backstrap, frame, barrel, cylinder, wedge pin, and arbor pin, with the final digit on the arbor pin placed on the very edge. Triggerguard is not numbered. Retains a brass front sight bead. Wedge pin screw likely replaced and buffed down in an attempt to match the remaining metalwork. All nipples replaced. {ANTIQUE}

Fair to Good. Bore is frosty and lightly pitted throughout with strong rifling. Metal finish has been buffed bright fading to a mottled gray patina darkening over the internals. Hammer is a deep brown patina overall, as is trigger. Some light pitting on forcing cone, muzzle, recoil shield, and cylinder. Gripstraps have been buffed and show some streaks and scratches. Grips sanded with split forming through left side, handling wear, and dents. Action shows good timing.
