Half-length studio portrait of a Native American. Albumen cabinet card. Salt Lake City, Utah: C.R. Savage, Art Bazar, after 1893. Savage's Art Bazar imprint to verso.
A stunning and intimate portrait of an unidentified Native American. A plaid, fringed blanket is wrapped around them, beaded bracelets on their wrists, and their loose hair is parted in the middle. Captured by Charles Savage in the later years of his career. The mount verso, bearing the imprint of his rebuilt Art Bazar, touts the "Gold and Silver Medals" won at Territorial Fairs as well as at the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition.
