31.25" blade. 36.5" overall with hilt. Single edged curved half blued blade with flat back and broad fuller set in a silver plated brass "Parrot-Beaked" Eagle pommel. Hilt retained with a peened tang features checkered bone one piece grip. No visible maker marking on blade with a small illegible silversmith proof to the interior of the knuckle-bow. Guard is largely unadorned with the eagle head itself showing richly detailed feathers, eyes, and nostrils. Blued blade engraved with gold inlaid panoplies of arms and patriotic themes.

Fine. Edge is unsharpened with few bites. Blade retains a strong blue with edgewear, some streaks, and scattered scratches overall. Finish has worn off the back of the blade. Bright blade with a patch of light pitting 5" from the point. Further brown flecking scattered in patches along the blade. Silver finish on the hilt has worn off with some traces of tarnished silver remaining on the crossguard, interior knuckle bow, and in the seams of the eagle head. Grip is split along its entire left side.
