Full-length seated studio portrait of Abraham Lincoln and his son Tad. Washington, D.C.: Alexander Gardner, [10 April 1865]. Published by Philip & Solomons. Illustrated Gardner and publisher's imprint to mount verso with canceled green 3-cent stamp. 

 

A tender view of President Lincoln and his youngest son, Thomas "Tad" Lincoln, captured by Alexander Gardner in the last photographic session the president ever took part in. A nice example with Gardner's own backmark. (M-95; O-114)
