A fine period lithographic interpretation of the famous "Five-Dollar-Bill Pose" captured by photographer Anthony Berger on 9 February 1864, taken shortly after he was re-nominated as the Republican Party's presidential candidate. After his death, Robert T. Lincoln would later write that the portrait was "the most satisfactory likeness of him." (Hamilton & Ostendorf, p. 176).
