A memorial image after the painting by J.H. Littlefield, capturing the crowded room surrounding President Lincoln as he slowly perished from his fatal wound. Mrs. Lincoln is pictured weeping at his side, while 23 men attend solemnly - including several cabinet members and prominent generals. Each is identified by a printed caption to the mount recto.
