A very early publication of the famous Gettysburg Address, published the day after Lincoln delivered it at the Consecration Ceremonies of the Gettysburg Cemetery on 19 November 1863. The speech is published in full in a comprehensive account of the event that includes speeches by Secretary of State William Seward and well-known politician and orator Edward Everett. Lincoln's two-minute speech was greeted with rapturous applause, interrupting him five times.
