A classic Art Deco poster advertising the New York Department store Arnold Constable. Designed by French artist Jean Dupas, whose work came to define the Art Deco movement and the School of Bordeaux. The poster here features three statuesque women presenting the past, present, and future of women's fashion. At right, the Past wears a combination of historical styles including a multi-ruffled collar, large bonnet, and fur-lined cape. The Future wears a long flowing robe and an unusual "futuristic" tall hat. They flank the Present, who wears a stylish boat-necked drop-waist dress with geometric designs and a pleated skirt. 

A beautiful representation of the Art Deco era.
