This cover of Time Magazine from the 10 November 2003 edition features the image of Russel Crowe as his character "Jack Aubrey" in the 2003 film "Master and Commander." The film, directed by Peter Weir, won two Academy Awards in 2004, including Best Cinematography. Blending historical inspiration from Napoleonic-era British naval battles, the film and Crowe provided audiences with an exciting historical fiction perspective on sea-faring life.
