A Belgian release poster for After the Thin Man, issued under its regional French distribution title Nick, Gentleman Détective. The poster features central artwork of William Powell and Myrna Loy in black-tie attire holding their wire fox terrier, Asta, on a leash. Directed by W.S. Van Dyke and produced by Hunt Stromberg, the mystery-comedy sequel was a massive critical and box-office hit, earning an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay. Notably, the film features an early supporting role by a young James Stewart, whose character serves as a key twist in the narrative.
