A mixture of 30 framed ambrotypes and tintype ninth plates.
A large rectangular display containing 30 framed 9th plate ambrotype and tintype portraits arranged in five rows of six. Each image is set behind its own brass matting. Notable images from this collection include:
1. An occupational view depicting a seated man shown from the waist up. He can be seen wearing a patterned long-sleeve shirt, rolled up to the elbows, and a light colored apron. His arms are crossed as he leans on the table in front of him.
2. Two women sitting at a table reading to one another. One woman is turned in profile, facing her left, hair drawn back and secured behind her head. She holds a sheet of paper and a writing utensil in both hands. An envelope can be seen in her lap. The second woman faces forward with gaze lowered toward a second paper she holds. Both wear dark dresses with modest collars and simple detailing.
