A vivid oil painting capturing the laborious scene of sugar cane cultivation. A Cuban farmer guides two oxen through a lush sugar cane field, capturing a moment of traditional agricultural labor. The farmer, dressed in simple, rustic clothing, steers the oxen using a conventional harness and plow. The bright green sugar cane stretches across the canvas, its vibrant color contrasted against the blue, clouded sky. In the background, other workers can be seen laboring in the fields.

Known as the "Dean of Santiago's Painters," he founded the School of Fine Arts and left a lasting impact on Cuban culture through both his artistic achievements and his involvement in revolutionary causes.
