A family of four, including a mother and three small children, stands outside of their home, or as the artist labels, their "shack." A thatched roof hangs overhead the building's siding, which is in a shambled condition. Beautifully drawn and detailed in ink.
Antonio Ferrer Cabello, born in Baracoa, Cuba, graduated from the Guantánamo School of Fine Art after gaining momentum in his career working as a graphic designer. Known for his landscapes and neocubist style, developed from the scenes of his childhood and his time at the academy, his scenes adolescense were popularly exhibited in Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Sweden, and various other European countries.
