Two rare early issues of notable anarchist periodical The Fifth Estate. First published in 1965 by Harvey Ovshinsky, then only 17, after a trip to California where he worked on the underground paper the Los Angeles Free Press. Issue no. 20 features a striking illustration with the article subtitle reading: "A PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE & DEATH."
