.36 caliber. 7.5" barrel. SN: 7163 (mfg. ca. 1862). No finish on barrel and cylinder, traces of case colors on frame, brass backstrap and triggerguard, one piece walnut grip. Single action percussion revolver with unfluted six-chambered cylinder, hammer nose notch rear sight, German silver blade front sight and creeping loading lever. Barrel with one line "NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA" barrel marking. All visible serial numbers match, including the wedge. Sub-inspected throughout with weak traces of cartouches on the grip. A weak set of initials, starting with a "W" are scratched in the butt of the revolver. A scarce example of a maritally marked Colt 1861 Navy that is well worn but honest. {ANTIQUE}

About Good. Bore dark, dirty, oxidized and pitted. Metal chemically cleaned with moderately scattered light pitting and a dull gray patina showing scattered oxidation and age discoloration. Markings in meal mostly legible, weak in wood. Mechanically functional action. Missing the wedge screw. Grip with moderate wear, lightly sanded with ding, mars and some minor chips.
