A poetic letter written to Miss Virginia Miller by CSA Veteran Fountain G. Boston. He reminisces of Confederate generals, but most notably knows Colonel John "the Gray Ghost" Mosby the best: "Col. Mosby I have known since I was quite young + no one was more surprised than I at the fame he wond ruing the war. I believe I did have the Honor of seeing + was probably introduced the curious Capt Lee and to say that he sometimes whistles is I suppose a sufficient proof that I have met him."
