Partly printed document completed in manuscript. Signed by H. Yates as captain and E. Leach as orderly sergeant to Mr. P. Bech(?)tel, Jr. Np., early- to mid-19th century. 1 page, approx. 4 x 6 1/2, matted and framed to 12 x 14 in. With illustration of two horseback soldiers at top.

An order from Capt. H. Yates to a soldier requesting him to come to "Steam Boat square" at 8 a.m. on 4 July "mounted, armed and equipped for company and regimental parade." Based on the illustration at the top, this was probably a Fourth of July Day parade around the 1830s or 1840s.

A unique patriotic item to add to collection.
