A group of six (6) graded Confederate currency notes, including desirable high denomination notes. Includes: 

 

1. T-39 Confederate States of America $100 note. State II. Richmond, Virginia, 21 July 1862. Printed Columbia, South Carolina: J.T. Paterson & Co. Plate AA, No. 25209. With Montgomery 1863 and Jackson 1865 "Interest Paid" stamps to verso. Graded "64 Choice Uncirculated" by Paper Money Guaranty (PMG).  

 

Featuring a vignette of a milkmaid and a detailed train and ship central vignette.

 

2. T-39 Confederate States of America $100 note. Richmond, 19 June 1862. Printed Columbia: J.T. Paterson. Plate AE, no. 9369. Manuscript endorsement to verso alongside Savannah 1863 & 1864 "interest paid" stamps. Graded "58 Choice About Uncirculated" by PMG, also noting its "exceptional paper quality." 

 

3. T-25 Confederate States of America $10 note. Richmond, 2 September 1861. Printed Richmond, Virginia: Keatinge & Ball. Plate Z, no. 22852. Hammer cut canceled. Graded "25 Very Fine" by PMG.

 

With portraits of Confederate Senate President pro tempore Robert M.T. Hunter (1809-1887) and Confederate Secretary of the Treasury Christopher Gustavus Memminger (1803-1888) alongside a personification of Hope. 


4. T-36 Confederate States of America $5 note. Second Series. Richmond, 2 September 1861. Printed Columbia, J.T. Paterson. Plate 15A, no. 198933. Graded "53 About Uncirculated" by PMG, noting a missing corner tip. 

 

Featuring vignettes of a sailor and Commerce personified. 

 

5. T-20 Confederate States of America $20 note. Richmond, 2 September 1861. Printed Richmond: B. Duncan. Plate 2, No. 45487. Graded "35 Choice Very Fine" by PMG. Provenance: Hawkins Family Collection. 

 

Featuring a portrait of Confederate Vice President Alexander Stephens (1812-1883) alongside personifications of Industry and Commerce. 

 

6. T-18. Confederate States of America $20 note. Richmond, 2 September 1861. Printed Columbia: J.T. Paterson. Plate A2, no. 8550. Crosscut cancelled. Graded "Very Fine 25" by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). 

 

With portrait of a sailor and a sailing ship vignette.
