Three (3) groups of cartridges in original packaging, plus a tin with cartridge caps:
1. Ten-count paper packaging for .58 caliber paper cartridges. Stamped: "Rifle, Musket & Rifle, 58. / 65 Grains M. Powder. / St. Louis Arsenal. / 1864.", with a depiction of a cross-sectioned Minié ball in profile. Approx. 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 x 1 1/8 in.
The packaging remains in very fine condition.
2. Ten-count pasteboard box of .52 caliber cartridges for use with the Sharps Carbine. Labeled to top with the following: "Ten / Linen Cartridges / For Sharp's Carbine, / Cal. 52-100. / With 12 Percussion Caps. / Watervliet Arsenal. / 1864."
The top has been separated along 3 sides, allowing for easy inspection of 5 of the cartridges. Else in fine condition.
3. Ten-count unlabeled paper packaging for .54 caliber metallic cartridges.
Condition is as shown; tied string remains intact.
4. Tin of Hick's percussion caps. Lid with the following: "Hicks' Percussion Caps. / Foil Lined, / F.L. / Central Fire, / Water - Proof / The Union Metallic Cartridge Co. / Bridgeport, Conn. / U.S.A."
The lid is stuck tightly to the base. There is an indentation to the base where it meets the lid, else a fine example. The caps have not been examined outside of the packaging.
