Three (3) vignetted studio bust portrait albumen CDVs of identified Union soldiers, including: 

 

1. Portrait of Robert Bradford Isdell. Cincinnati, Ohio: I. H. Bosnall, n.d. Photographer's imprint to mount verso, with period ink inscription reading, "Montgomery / Hamilton Co / Ohio / Sycamore L[?] 244." Inscribed to mount recto "Yours truly / R. B. Isdell."

 

Hamilton County blacksmith Robert Isdell ( (1838-1875) enlisted on June 20, 1861 as a private and mustered into Co. I, Ohio 5th Infantry. He was discharged for disability on on October 18, 1862, but seemingly returned to the service on May 14, 1864, with Co. I, Ohio 138th Infantry.

 

2. Portrait of George T. Woodward. H. Goldsticker, Army of the Cumberland 1865. Photographer's imprint to mount verso, with period ink inscription reading, "Franklin, Mass / Chatta Tenn Mar 7th AD. 1865." Inscribed to mount recto "Yours truly / Geo. T. Woodward."

 

George Woodward (1836-1882), a teacher from Franklin, Tennessee, enlisted on September 15, 1862 as a corporal. He mustered into Co. C, Massachusetts 45th Infantry. H was mustered out on July 7, 1863 at Readville, Massachusetts.

 

3. Portrait of Alonzo Develson Brown. N.p, n.d. Inscribed "Waterloo / New York" to mount verso and "A.D. Brown / April 16..." to mount recto.

 

Alonzo Brown (1840-1925) enlisted on October 25, 1861 as a private and mustered into Co. A, New York 76th Infantry. He was wounded at the battle of Gainesville on August 28, 1862, and while he seemingly recovered, he was later discharged for subsequent injuries ion February 1864 in Alexandria, Virginia.
