Anti-slavery copper token. Diam. 18mm. Obverse with Lady Liberty profile bust with legend “Liberty and No Slavery / 1863.” Reverse stamped with military motif. Slabbed and graded by Independent Coin Graders.

A fine example of the abolitionist movement and its publicity campaigns in the midst of the Civil War. The year this coin was minted was the same in which Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, furthering the notion of “Liberty and No Slavery” in the U.S.
